Where are you from? 

I grew up at Apple Canyon Lake and went to Warren High School.  After I graduated from college I moved to Freeport, then Dan and I built a house at Apple Canyon Lake.  We’ve lived in Galena for 6 years now.

 

What did you do before working with U.S. Bank?

I have worked for U.S. Bank and it’s predecessors for the past 14 years, since I graduated from college.

 

What brought you to your current position Market President?

I was a bank teller in college and after graduation, I sought out a position within the bank.  I have worked in many different areas of the bank and have served as Market President for the last 6 years.

 

What has been the most interesting aspect of you work?

I enjoy the people I work with and the customers.  Sales and marketing is my area of expertise and my passion.

 

What has been your biggest challenge?

I get bored easily, so I have to create things to keep me motivated, focused and active.  From this good things can happen, as a result, the Parade of Homes and PWI were born.

 

Tell me about your family.

I am married to Dan (whom I couldn’t live without) and we have two children, Chase,

3 1/2 and Brooke, 1.

 

Any pets?

Our Yellow Lab, Bailey and our Betta fish, Urlacher

 

Who are you inspired by?

Everyday people who do great things.

 

What is you favorite book?

“Anyway- The Paradoxical Commandments:  Finding Personal Meaning in a Crazy World”

 

Favorite Movie?

No real favorites, as I like a lot of movies.  I can recite most of the lines to Pretty Woman and Princess Bride, though.

 

What is in your refrigerator?

Milk, lots of condiments, sippy cups and random leftovers that are usually forgotten and thrown away (I know, there are starving children in Ethiopia- I’ll work on it!)

 

If you could invite anyone to a dinner party dead or alive, who would you invite?

I’d invite Jesus and my grandparents that have all passed, as I’d like them to meet my children and I’d like to meet my grandmother, B’Ann McCoy, who died when I was 1 ½.

 

What is your favorite vacation spot?

Anyplace warm, with an ocean and a beach.  We’ve enjoyed trips to Puerto Vallarta and Cancun, Mexico, as well as to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

 

Your favorite pastime is….

I enjoy reading, spending time with family and exercising.

 

What has been your largest personal challenge?

(pretty much answered above- could probably remove this question)

 

What are you most proud of?

I am proud of my children and I’m proud of the service that I give to my community. 

 

Are you living your dream?

Every day is a gift and I recognize that and try to make the most of every day.  I feel like life is an evolution of various goals or dreams, so at this moment, I am living my current dream.  I couldn’t ask for a better job, family, friends, or community!
