The Professional Women's Initiative of Galena is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing women with a forum to support each other in personal and professional growth. Members are encouraged to network, form alliances, support, and mentor one another. Above all else, PWI is about kicking up those heels and having fun!

People of all background are joining PWI. Membership is for everyone, including budding entrepreneurs, business managers and executives, artists, volunteers and retirees.

Everyone has their own networks. Members are encouraged to invite their contacts to monthly meetings to further expand their networks through meeting others. We are enhancing skills and making new opportunities through supporting each other in a positive atmosphere.

PWI Now On Facebook To join the PWI Facebook Group as one more way to promote your business /event/organization, go to your Facebook home page, on the right side under applications choose "group".  Then search for the group under "PWI-Professional Women’s Initiative", and it should be right there! Have fun with this additional way to network through PWI and find out what PWI and PWI member events are going on!

Monthly luncheons begin with registration and a time for networking followed by lunch and guest speakers. Each member will have the opportunity to give a "30 second commercial" promoting their business or discuss a special event or discuss a special event or fund-raiser.

EVENING EVENT AT MURPHY’S GARDENS Please join us for an exciting PWI evening event at Murphy’s Gardens in Galena.  This will be a great way to mingle with other PWI members while taking in the beauty of Murphy’s Gardens.  Appetizers, tea, and lemonade will be provided.  Please feel free to bring a bottle of your favorite wine if you would like to.  The event will be held on Wednesday July 22nd from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.  Lori from Murphy’s Gardens will be available to “Ask the Gardner” any questions you may have about your own garden. You will have the opportunity to wander the entire gardens at your leisure or Lori can take you on a guided tour.
